HCA Florida Aventura Hospital is recruiting a physician leader to join the Internal Medicine/Geriatrics Residency program as Core Faculty. The role focuses on medical education, resident and student teaching, and scholarly activity within a growing East Florida GME footprint.

The candidate should be board certified in Internal Medicine, hold a Florida medical license, and have a demonstrated interest in medical education and scholarship.

Qualifications

• Board certification in the specialty (ABMS) is required.
• License to practice medicine in Florida is required.
• Credentialing at the facilities of clinical engagement is required.
• Ideal candidate has some academic/teaching experience and involvement in research/scholarship.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day education of residents and/or fellows and medical students.
• Support curriculum development, resident assessment and mentorship.
• Lead efforts in scholarship and dissemination of findings.
• Contribute to program administration as directed by the Program Director.
