The University of Kentucky is seeking an Academic Coordinator to support the academic operations of the College of Design in Lexington.

This role serves as a key resource for course scheduling, academic administration, student support initiatives, event coordination, and compliance activities, collaborating with faculty, program leadership, Student Success, and university partners to keep programs operating efficiently while ensuring a positive student experience.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree required.
  • 3 years of related professional experience.
  • Hybrid work arrangements available with approval.

Responsibilities

  • Manage course scheduling and classroom assignments across all College of Design programs.
  • Create and maintain course sections, instructor assignments, enrollment capacities, and scheduling data in university systems.
  • Coordinate with academic leadership to resolve scheduling conflicts and support curriculum implementation.
  • Support studio placements, enrollment adjustments, curriculum workflows, and scholarship administration.
  • Serve as a resource for faculty navigating academic processes and curriculum approval systems.
  • Coordinate college-wide student events, including K-Week, Graduate Student Orientation, Commencement, and the Design Career Fair.
  • Assist faculty with accommodation workflows and monitor academic compliance deadlines.
  • Maintain records and reporting needed for accreditation and academic planning efforts.
