Job summary

The Division of Colorectal Surgery within the Department of Surgery at Brown University is seeking a colorectal surgeon to join our faculty. This position will be based primarily at Rhode Island Hospital and the Miriam Hospital, with potential practice opportunities at other Brown-affiliated hospitals across the health system.

Qualifications

• Board certification in general surgery with colorectal specialty training or eligibility.
• Strong clinical background in gastrointestinal surgical diseases.
• Commitment to scholarly participation in research and education at Brown University.

Responsibilities

• Teaching: contribute as a preceptor in clerkships and residency programs within the department.
• Research: pursue basic, translational or clinical colorectal research and participate in clinical protocols.
• Patient Care: provide inpatient and outpatient colorectal care including procedures and call coverage.
• Service Responsibilities: engage in committees and collaborate to advance departmental goals.
