Job summary

The Enrichery is looking for a Part-Time Academic Coach to provide one-on-one teaching and executive function coaching to students across elementary to high school levels. You’ll mentor students, focusing on organization, time management, and study strategies to build independent learners.

Responsibilities include maintaining a consistent weekly schedule, building trusting relationships, and helping students become confident and capable learners through targeted coaching.

Qualifications

• Must be able to teach and explain concepts one-on-one to students across grade levels.
• Experience coaching executive functioning and study skills is preferred.
• Current enrollment in or graduation from a four-year university is required or welcomed.

Part-Time Academic Coach | Tutor

One-on-One Teaching + Executive Function Coaching

The best coaches do more than explain academic content - they help students become confident, independent learners. At The Enrichery, you’ll combine subject-matter support with executive functioning instruction, teaching skills like organization, time management, prioritization, study strategies, and follow-through. This isn’t traditional tutoring or homework help - it’s an opportunity to become a trusted mentor and make an impact that lasts far beyond the next test.

What You’ll Do

• Work one-on-one with elementary, middle, or high school students

• Coach students toward greater confidence, independence, and responsibility

Requirements

You do not need to teach every subject. We’re looking for candidates with demonstrated strength in one or more of the following areas:

Elementary and Middle School

• Language Arts
• History
• Natural Sciences
• Math through Algebra I
• Executive functioning and study skills
• ISEE preparation is a plus

High School STEM

• Geometry
• AP Physics
• Executive functioning and study skills
• ACT, SAT, or ISEE preparation is a plus

High School Humanities

• AP Literature
• AP U.S. History
• AP World History
• Executive functioning and study skills
• ACT, SAT, or ISEE preparation is a plus

• Are academically strong and can demonstrate mastery in the subjects you want to coach
• Can explain challenging content clearly and in more than one way
• Understand that strong coaching addresses both academic content and the habits behind student success
• Know how to connect with students and make learning feel approachable

• Are dependable, prepared, and committed to the students you work with

• Are currently attending or have graduated from a four-year university
• Can commit to a consistent weekly schedule of at least 15 hours
• Are available for at least four hours on Sundays

We’ve designed this role so you can spend more of your available time coaching students-- not driving between appointments, stressed out in Houston traffic or managing the logistics of scheduling multiple families.

All sessions are one-on-one and take place in private offices at one Enrichery location

Students can be scheduled back-to-back within your preferred availability

No driving from one student’s home to another

No added gas expenses or wear on your vehicle between tutoring appointments

No finding your own clients or coordinating schedules with multiple families

Recurring weekly sessions provide greater consistency and better student results

Compensation and Schedule

$18–$25 per hour , depending on experience and qualifications

W-2 employment— not a 1099 contractor role

Taxes withheld through payroll, with The Enrichery paying the employer share of payroll taxes

Paid training and shadowing

Consistent hours through recurring weekly sessions

Required: At least 15 hours of weekly availability, including four hours on Sundays

Our coaching hours are:

Monday–Friday: 3:00–9:30 p.m.

Sunday: 10:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m.

Some offices are open on Saturdays as well
