Job summary

SAI Academy in Austin, TX, seeks a skilled academic support specialist to help student-athletes succeed in a highly individualized setting. You will deliver targeted instruction, address learning gaps, and ensure genuine mastery across STEM and other subjects.

The role values independence, clear communication, and initiative, with daily small-group instruction, progress monitoring on digital curricula, and collaboration with leadership to sustain academic rigor.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated mastery of high school STEM subjects.
• Experience with middle and/or high school students.
• Ability to differentiate instruction across learning levels.
• Proficiency with digital tools and Google Workspace.
• Authorized to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Provide targeted instruction and small-group sessions daily.
• Monitor student progress using digital platforms (IXL, assessments, SAT/ACT prep tools).
• Design supplemental mini-lessons to address identified gaps.
• Pivot between multiple subjects and maintain a focused learning environment.
• Collaborate with leadership to track progress and support calendars.
