Position Overview

The Huntsman Mental Health Institute and the Child Psychiatry Division at the University of Utah Spencer Fox Eccles School of Medicine seek a dedicated full-time Child and Adolescent Inpatient Psychiatrist. This role involves providing clinical services, engaging in scholarly activities, mentoring trainees, and participating in administrative duties within a supportive team environment.

Qualifications
  • Unrestricted medical license in Utah or eligibility
  • Residency in Psychiatry; Triple Board residency or Child and Adolescent Psychiatry fellowship
  • Board certified or eligible in Psychiatry and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry
Responsibilities
  1. Clinical care: Provide inpatient psychiatric services, participate in call duties, and ensure quality patient care.
  2. Investigation: Engage in scholarly research and develop educational materials.
  3. Education: Mentor residents, medical students, and trainees, and participate in teaching activities.
  4. Administration: Participate in departmental and institutional committees, and handle administrative duties related to clinical care.
