Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Academic advising or related experience preferred.
• Ability to work with students with varied needs and collaborate with faculty and staff.
• Computer literacy including spreadsheets, word processing, and presentation software preferred.
• Physical and mental requirements described; able to sit/stand for extended periods and use standard office equipment.

Responsibilities

• Provide academic advising services to undecided students.
• Coordinate transfer discussions with college representatives.
• Develop and coordinate career advising, orientation, and student engagement activities with SSC staff.
• Maintain articulation documents using computerized systems.
• Implement retention procedures and intervention activities.
• Document student communications via multiple contact management systems (e.g., text, call, chat, email).
• Maintain and update advising resources and materials.
• Assess students and potential students using college tools.
• Participate in institutional committees and attend SSC staff meetings.
• Adhere to HutchCC policies and complete duties timely.
• All other duties assigned.
