Job summary

Indiana University Health and the IU School of Medicine Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine seek a Cardiovascular and Autopsy pathologist for a busy, academically oriented program serving IU Health hospitals and Eskenazi Health.

The successful candidate will participate in diagnostic service for cardiovascular pathology, autopsy cases, quality initiatives, and collaborative translational research, while contributing to resident and student education.

Qualifications

• Doctorate or terminal degree required.
• Board certification in anatomic pathology or AP/CP required.
• Fellowship training or substantial experience in cardiovascular pathology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide diagnostic services in cardiovascular pathology including heart and vascular specimens.
• Participate in autopsy service, focusing on complex cardiopulmonary cases.
• Contribute to quality improvement and interdisciplinary clinical initiatives.
• Provide on-call coverage and conference support with department faculty.
• Conduct and support scholarly activities and collaborative research.
• Educate medical students, residents, and fellows.
