Job summary

Loma Linda University Faculty Medical Group's Department of Anesthesiology seeks a fellowship-trained, board-eligible or board-certified cardiothoracic anesthesiologist to join our Cardiac Anesthesia section. We provide anesthesia for cardiac and general cases within a collaborative, mission-driven environment.

The Cardiac Practice supports full-service adult cardiac surgery, transplant programs, and advanced structural heart interventions, with emphasis on teaching residents and fellows and

Qualifications

• Fellowship-trained in cardiothoracic anesthesia and board eligible or certified.
• Advanced Perioperative TEE certification or eligibility.
• California residency required at start date.
• Experience with liver transplant anesthesia welcome; training provided for new to transplant.
• Willingness to teach residents and fellows in a collegial environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide cardiac and general anesthesia for adult cardiac surgery patients.
• Involve in teaching residents and fellows; participate in grand rounds and case reviews.
• Collaborate with cardiac surgeons, perfusionists, and ICU teams to optimize patient care.
• Engage in liver transplant and LVAD cases as part of the cardiac program.
