Job summary

The Breast Surgery division at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center is seeking a fellowship‑trained breast surgeon at the Assistant Professor level. This role emphasizes building a comprehensive oncoplastic breast surgery program and a robotic mastectomy program while pursuing strong clinical and translational research.

The successful candidate will join a collaborative, interdisciplinary team with opportunities for protected research time, mentorship, and a formal academic appointment

Qualifications

• License to practice in New York and board eligibility/certification in General Surgery.
• Fellowship training in Surgical or Breast Oncology is required or strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated commitment to education, research, and multidisciplinary care.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive surgical care for benign and malignant breast disease within a multidisciplinary program.
• Perform breast conserving surgery, mastectomy, sentinel node procedures and other current approaches.
• Develop and grow oncoplastic breast surgery and robotic mastectomy programs.
• Collaborate with medical/ radiation oncology, radiology, pathology and plastic surgery to tailor treatments.
• Participate in multidisciplinary conferences, tumor boards and clinical trials.
• Develop an independent academic program in basic, translational and/or clinical research.
• Educate and mentor fellows, residents and medical students.
• Contribute to scholarly activities and pursue extramural research funding.
