Indiana University Health Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis is seeking an Academic Medical Center Anesthesiologist Assistant or Nurse Anesthetist with teaching opportunities. The role includes inpatient and outpatient responsibilities across multiple specialties, with a flexible schedule such as 4x10s, 3x13s, or 5x8s and no weekend work or on-call requirements.

The position offers involvement in student, resident, and fellow training with a potential faculty appointment, and plans to expand

Qualifications

• Master’s degree from a CAAHEP-accredited Anesthesiologist Assistant program.
• Master’s level Nurse Anesthesia program accredited by the Council on Accreditation.

Responsibilities

• Inpatient and outpatient responsibilities across multiple specialties (endoscopy, ERCP, GYN, ENT, dental, plastics, urology, ortho, trauma, NORA, general, neuro, spine).
• Procedures include IV placement, airway management, arterial & central line placement, general and regional anesthesia.
• Involvement in student, resident and fellow training with a faculty appointment.

IU Health Physicians is seeking an Anesthetistin Indianapolis, IN!

Position Highlights:

• Participate in the growth of the anesthetist profession within the adult academic health center including IU Health Methodist and University Hospitals
• Involvement in student, resident and fellow training, including a faculty appointment
• Full-Time, Monday-Friday, flexible scheduling - will consider 4x10s, 3x13s and 5x8s
• No weekend work or call required
• Inpatient and outpatient responsibilities including: endoscopy, ERCP, GYN, ENT, dental, plastics, urology, ortho, trauma, NORA, general, neuro, and spine. Plans to expand anesthetist coverage to vascular, cardiac, and OB
• Procedures include: IV placement, airway management, arterial & central cath placement, general & regional anesthesia

Qualifications:

• Certified Anesthesiologist Assistant:
  • Must have graduated with a Master’s degree from a CAAHEP accredited Anesthesiologist Assistant Program
  • Must have passed the Certifying Examination for Anesthesiologist Assistants or the CDQ examination and hold current certification
• Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist:
  • Must have graduated from Master’s level Nurse Anesthesia program accredited by the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs
  • Must have passed the National Certification Examinationand hold current certification from the Council of Certification of Nurse Anesthetists
• Must hold current ACLS and PALS certifications
• Licensed or eligible forlicensure in Indiana
