Job summary

Albany Medical Center is seeking academic Anesthesiologists in open ranks to join a tertiary institution utilizing the anesthesia care team model. You will provide patient care across main operating rooms and affiliated sites while engaging in didactic and clinical instruction for residents, SRNAs and medical students.

The role features a flexible staffing pattern with part-time opportunities and an emphasis on teaching, mentorship, and clinical research within New York’s Capital Region.

Qualifications

• Academic Anesthesiologists open rank.
• Didactic and clinical instruction for residents, SRNAs and medical students.
• Flexible staffing patterns; part-time opportunities available.
• Only academic medical center in the Capital Region of NYS.
• Participation in clinical and educational research with mentorship.
• Collaboration with a dedicated team to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes during perioperative care.
• Approximately 45,000 anesthetics are provided each year across all settings.

Responsibilities

• Deliver anesthesia care across main OR, off-site locations, ASC and office-based settings.
• Engage in teaching and supervising residents, SRNAs and students.
• Contribute to research and quality improvement initiatives.
