Albany Medical College seeks an Internal Medicine-trained allergist-immunologist for appointment as Assistant or Associate Professor. Board Certified or Board Eligible in Allergy/Immunology; interests in clinical care, teaching, research, and scholarly activity.

The position covers adult and pediatric allergy/immunology, inpatient consults at Albany Medical Center, and teaching medical students, residents, and fellows.

Qualifications

• MD/DO from an accredited medical school.
• Completion of an Internal Medicine residency.
• Completion of an ACGME-accredited Allergy & Immunology fellowship.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Allergy & Immunology.
• Eligible for unrestricted medical licensure in New York State.

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient Allergy & Immunology consultation services for adult and pediatric patients.
• Evaluate and manage allergic/immunologic disorders across a broad spectrum.
• Perform and supervise allergy testing, oral challenges, immunotherapy, and desensitization.
• Collaborate with multiple services and specialties to optimize patient care.
• Teach and supervise medical students, residents, and Allergy & Immunology fellows.
• Participate in scholarly activities including clinical research and education.
