Qualifications

• MD or DO degree required.
• Completion of an ACGME-accredited Allergy & Immunology fellowship.
• Board-certified or board-eligible in Allergy & Immunology.
• Eligibility for Missouri medical licensure.
• Strong interest in academic practice, including teaching and scholarly activity.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality outpatient care in Allergy & Immunology for adult and adolescent populations (depending on training).
• Diagnose and manage a wide range of allergic and immunologic conditions, including asthma, allergic rhinitis, food allergy, chronic urticaria, atopic dermatitis, drug allergy, anaphylaxis, primary immunodeficiencies, and other immune-mediated disorders.
• Perform and interpret allergy testing (skin testing, patch testing, pulmonary function testing, oral food/drug challenges).
• Provide immunotherapy services and guide patients in advanced therapeutic options.
• Participate in teaching activities for fellows, residents, and medical students.
• Contribute to scholarly efforts, including clinical research, QI projects, publications, or educational innovation.
• Collaborate across departments such as Pulmonology, ENT, Dermatology, and Rheumatology to support comprehensive patient care.
• Participate in shared call responsibilities within the division (minimal outpatient-focused call).
• Support program growth and help shape the future direction of the Allergy & Immunology service line within SLUCare.
