Job summary

University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point seeks an Academic Advisor to support the Sentry School of Business and Economics advising program. You will work with transfer, drop-in, and low-GPA students, and may travel to branch campuses to provide services.

You will assist in designing resources, collecting data, and supporting faculty advisors, with additional focus on recruitment and retention efforts such as the First-Year Experience program.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Experience in advising, career services, admissions, recruiting, student services, or related duties.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills in written and oral form.

Responsibilities

• Serve as main point of contact for students and advise on educational options and career paths.
• Plan and implement advising events and workshops.
• Maintain confidential student records and respond to inquiries per FERPA.
