UM01 University of Maryland College Park (UMCP) is seeking an Academic Advisor to provide academic advising for students in the Smith School’s Undergraduate Program. This role entails managing undergraduate advisees and coordinating various student activities, including orientations and college functions.
Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor’s degree and experience in counseling. The position offers a regular salary range of $65,000 to $75,000.
The Academic Advisor will provide academic advising for students admitted to the Smith School’s Undergraduate Program. This includes meeting with a caseload of advisees and administering various aspects of the caseload, including performing degree audits, satisfactory progress reviews, degree clearances, transfer credit evaluation, etc. In addition, this position will be involved in participating in and, in some cases, coordinating various activities for students enrolled in the Smith School’s Undergraduate Program. The position also participates in new student orientations and other appropriate college and office functions and events.
