Job summary

Qualifications

  • B.A./B.S. degree and 2+ years of administrative experience, preferably in an academic setting.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee logistics of student recruitment and progress through the program.
  • Advise students on program logistics and requirements.
  • Manage student financial aid, hiring, and payroll.
  • Ensure adherence to the BUGWU contract and coordinate professional development activities for graduate students.
  • Maintain year-round academic and financial tracking, reporting, and analysis for the department's Graduate Program.

Reporting to the Director of Operations and to the faculty Directors of Graduate Studies and Graduate Admissions, this position's responsibilities include overseeing the logistics of student recruitment and their progress through the program, advising students on program logistics and requirements, managing student financial aid, hiring, and payroll, ensuring adherence to the BU Graduate Worker Union (BUGWU) contract, and coordinating professional development activities for graduate students. Additionally, position requires year-round academic and financial tracking, reporting, and analysis for the Department's Graduate Program with regard to students' status, which is used for recruitment, retention and matriculation forecasting.
