Job summary

ECU Health Physicians and East Carolina University’s Department of Surgery seek an Acute Care Surgeon to join the Division of Trauma and Acute Care Surgery at ECU Health Medical Center, a verified level I university trauma center.

Candidates should be board certified in general surgery, have completed a surgical critical care or acute care surgery fellowship, and be board certified or eligible in surgical critical care. Tenure track is available for qualified applicants.

Qualifications

• Board-certified in general surgery.
• Fellowship in surgical critical care or acute care surgery.
• Board-certified or eligible in surgical critical care.
• Candidacy open to those with under 5 years of academic teaching/research experience.

Responsibilities

• Staff the Trauma Service, Surgical and Trauma Intensive Care Unit, and Emergency General Surgery.
• Be part of a division of eleven academic acute care surgeons.
• Contribute to teaching and research activities within the program.
