Academic Account Manager (Remote) (Raleigh/Durham, NC)

Join Thomson Reuters as an Academic Account Manager (Remote) (Raleigh/Durham, NC).

Overview

The Academic Account Manager is responsible for maximizing market share, product revenue, preference, and usage within a designated territory by managing relationships with law schools. This role involves employing both in-person and digital engagement methods to communicate the value of Thomson Reuters' platforms to law school customers.

Location

This is a remote/work-from-home position. The ideal candidate resides in or near Raleigh-Durham, NC.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Manage and grow relationships with law schools, ensuring long-term loyalty and preference for Westlaw and Thomson Reuters products.
  2. Retain revenue from existing law school customers and prospect for new sales opportunities.
  3. Deliver compelling presentations to maximize client engagement.
  4. Maintain a professional demeanor that commands respect among law school faculty and students.
  5. Develop expertise in Thomson Reuters products and the legal and academic industry.
  6. Create strategic territory plans to optimize business performance through training and promotions.
  7. Manage Student Brand Ambassadors, including hiring, training, and reporting.
  8. Represent Thomson Reuters at trade shows and conferences.
  9. Provide accurate and timely reports on activities and results.
  10. Work independently and collaboratively to achieve goals.
Qualifications and Skills
  • JD required; prior legal experience preferred.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Customer service experience.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and social media platforms.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% for training and meetings.

Compensation

The base salary range in the US is $72,100 - $133,900, with potential for an annual bonus based on performance.
