Job Summary

The Restaurant Server is responsible for providing prompt and courteous meal service and assistance to residents and guests. The role includes maintaining a clean and organized work area and ensuring quality food service at all times.

Essential Functions
  • Ensure every table is clean and organized
  • Organize juices, milk, bread, water, and cereal area
  • Prepare coffee and condiments; set up carts for used plates and cups
  • Check reservations for meals and prepare table signs
  • Open restaurant doors, monitor buffet stock and cleanliness, inspect and clean spills promptly
  • Serve residents and meet their needs, assist with beverages and carrying plates/glasses
  • Clear tables of used dishes and utensils, ensure no leftover items
  • Clean tables and buffet areas after meals, refill condiments and beverages
  • Arrange silverware at stations
  • Ensure buffet food is fresh, hot, and replenished
  • Assist residents with plates and walkers as needed
  • Clean tables and buffet areas for the next meal
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of refrigerators, cabinets, and hallways
  • Collect tablecloths for cleaning
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Return the pager after dinner service

Team members will also demonstrate knowledge of Successful Aging philosophies through Masterpiece Living education, supporting core values such as Integrity, Dedication, Respect, Compassion, Teamwork, and Quality. They will participate in initiatives promoting the Successful Aging Culture and act as residents’ coaches.

Requirements

Any combination of education and experience providing the necessary knowledge and abilities, typically including:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • First Aid certification
Cobra & Title 22 Requirements
  • Protect residents' rights to fair and equitable treatment, privacy, property, and civil rights, including the right to file complaints
  • Maintain confidentiality of resident care information
  • Report incidents, unsafe conditions, and hazards immediately; follow safety rules; keep work area clean and safe
