Job summary

Health Care Service Corporation (HCSC) seeks a Lead Actuarial Analyst to apply statistics, financial theory, mathematics, and basic actuarial principles across pricing, underwriting, statistics, reserving, forecasting and other actuarial functions. They will operate with autonomy on daily tasks and lead small projects within Actuarial.

The role requires ASA and MAAC/MAAA, 3+ years of actuarial experience, strong Excel/Word, and SQL/Access/VBA proficiency.

Qualifications

Bachelor degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics or Economics.
ASA and MAAA certification.
At least 3 years of actuarial experience.
Verbal and written communications skills to prepare documentation and presentations.
PC proficiency to include Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

Apply statistics, math and actuarial principles to pricing, underwriting, reserving, forecasting and related tasks.
Communicate complex results to varied audiences; manage small projects within Actuarial.
Work with autonomous daily duties and collaborate with actuarial team as needed.
