Job summary

Altria Group, Inc. in Richmond, VA seeks an AC Utility Operator to ensure safe, continuous operation of building utility systems at a state-of-the-art manufacturing center. Shifts run A/B/C with overtime as needed; starting wage is $40.49 per hour, rising to $44.99 with time.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ and eligible to work in the U.S. and for Altria/Philip Morris USA.
• Willing to work any shift and overtime, including weekends and holidays.
• Current Universal CFC Certification (EPA Section 608).
• 2+ years of experience in HVAC/utility systems or building management.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain building utility systems (HVAC, process vacuum, steam, compressed air, chilled water).
• Monitor critical levels in sumps and exhaust fans; respond to alarms and outages.
• Use CMMS to enter work orders and generate notifications for repairs.
• Coordinate with maintenance teams and vendors for installations, inspections and repairs.
• Distribute run hours across redundant equipment and follow a control plan.
