Job summary

Tyonek Native Corporation in Maryland is seeking a qualified Quality Assurance Representative to perform inspections in military aircraft maintenance environments, ensuring adherence to CNAFINST 4790.2 and NAVAIR directives.

The role requires airframe/avionics knowledge, 4 years of I/D level repair experience, 3 years of DON aviation QA experience, US citizenship, and the ability to obtain a SECRET clearance.

Qualifications

• Must have four years aircraft maintenance experience at I/D level.
• Three years' DON aviation experience as a QA Representative in the last ten years.
• US Citizen.
• Must be able to obtain Secret Clearance (credit history review).
• Completed Navy Quality Assurance Representative course.

Duties

• The QI shall have academic and demonstrated knowledge and working experience in military aircraft maintenance organizations governed under CNAFINST 4790.2 (series) and NAVAIR Instruction 3710.1(series) requirements.
• A QI shall have demonstrated competence through satisfactory, progressive performance as an aircraft quality control inspector. Must have demonstrated knowledge, experience, and working level skills/ability in:
• Maintenance and repair expertise in their respective inspection area(s) (e.g., power plants, ALSS).
• Quality Assurance inspections scheduling, criteria, documents, directives, policies and requirements.
• Quality Assurance documentation, forms, logs and records.
• NALCOMIS and VIDMAFs
• The QI shall have a minimum of four (4) years aircraft maintenance experience at an I and/or D level of repair in their work center areas of expertise.
• The QI shall have a minimum of three (3) years' experience in the field of DON military aviation as a "Quality Assurance Representative" in the last ten (10) years to the level of effort and complexity their respective work center expertise (e.g., Avionics, ALSS, Power plants/structures/ hydraulics/SE) of the requirements in this SOW. Examples of acceptable experience:
• QI-(AP) Aircraft Power Plants/Structures//Hydraulics/SE: Navy Aviation Machinist's Mate (AD) or Aviation Structural Mechanic (AM) Senior Enlisted with Aviation Quality Assurance Representative Maintenance Experience (i.e., E-6, E-7, E-8 or E-9) or USMC equivalency. Graduate from military A and C schools.
• QI-(ALSS) Aircraft Life Support Systems: Navy Aircrew Survival Equipment man (PR) Senior Enlisted with Aviation Quality Assurance Representative Maintenance Experience (i.e., E-6, E-7, E-8 or E-9) or USMC equivalency. Graduate from military A and C schools.
• QI-(AV) Aircraft Avionics Systems: Navy Aviation Electronics Technician (AT) or Aviation Electricians Mate (AE) Senior Enlisted with Aviation Quality Assurance Representative Maintenance Experience (i.e., E-6, E-7, E-8 or E-9) or USMC equivalency. Graduate from military A and C schools.
• The QI shall have completed Navy Quality Assurance Representative course or equivalent.
• The QI-Aircraft Avionics Systems must be capable of a SECRET security clearance.

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Must have a minimum of four (4) years aircraft maintenance experience at an I and/or D level of repair in their work center areas of expertise.
• Must have a minimum of three (3) years' experience in the field of DON military aviation as a "Quality Assurance Representative".
• Must have academic and demonstrated knowledge and working experience in military aircraft maintenance organizations governed under CNAFINST 4790.2.
• Must be a US Citizen
• Must have or be able to obtain a Secret Clearance. The Secret Clearance process will include requesting a credit history.
