Description

The Bartender is responsible for providing the highest quality of service to guests in an efficient and courteous manner. The role involves taking food and beverage orders, serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, and assisting with food service. The bartender will also handle payments and ensure the cleanliness of the area and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Approach all encounters with guests and employees with a smile.
• Have a thorough knowledge of the menu.
• Mix and garnish beverages according to standards.
• Prepare food as needed according to standards.
• Check IDs and serve alcoholic beverages in compliance with laws and regulations.
• Stock and maintain the bar, including beer, wine, spirits, and bar supplies.
• Ensure the quality and safety of beverage-related perishables.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the bar and service areas.
• Inventory supplies weekly and requisition as needed.
• Maintain temperature and waste logs daily.
• Take guest orders quickly and accurately.
• Handle special requests and resolve any issues promptly.
• Limit problems related to excessive drinking by monitoring and notifying management.
• Process payments accurately using the POS system.
• Perform opening and closing procedures.
• Perform other duties as requested by management.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent; hotel or related experience is a plus.
• Fluent in English.
• Certification in liquor, wine, and food service is a plus.
• Ability to use computers.
• Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Full- and part-time positions available.
• Ability to stand and walk for entire shift.
• Basic reading, writing, and math skills.
