Job DescriptionJob Title: Air Conditioning & HVAC EngineerLocation: Midlands (Mobile Role – Various Client Sites including Prisons)Job Type: Full-time, PermanentStart Date: ASAPSalary: £38,000 – £43,000 per year (depending on experience) + Structured OvertimeThe RoleWe are seeking an experienced and reliable Air Conditioning & HVAC Engineer to join our team on a full-time basis. This mobile role involves delivering high-quality service and maintenance across a range of client sites, including daily visits to prisons. The role primarily focuses on servicing and PPMs, and requires someone confident working independently with strong technical knowledge and practical skills.Responsibilities * Carry out PPM and reactive maintenance across commercial and secure sites in the Midlands * Daily visits to prisons for servicing and preventative maintenance tasks * Service and maintain a wide range of HVAC and f-gas installations including: Split systems, VRV/VRF systems, Chillers, Air handling units, General ventilation systems * Fault analysis, rectification, and system optimisation * Ensure compliance with F-Gas regulations and produce statutory reports * Adhere to Health & Safety procedures at all timesRequired Qualifications & Experience * Minimum 3 years' experience across the full range of HVAC and air conditioning systems detailed above * F-Gas refrigerant handling certification (essential) * Relevant City & Guilds/NVQ in Air Conditioning, Refrigeration or HVAC (essential) * Electrical qualifications (advantageous) * Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills * Familiarity with CAFM systems (tablet-based) * Must be confident working independently * Excellent communication and organisational skills * Full UK driving licence * Experience working in secure environments such as prisons ()What’s on Offer * £38,000 – £43,000 per annum (based on experience) * Full-time hours: 08:00 – 17:00, Monday to Friday * Structured overtime and on-call rota package * Company vehicle (car or van) provided * Nest pension scheme * 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays * Death in Service cover (3x salary) * Annual performance-related bonus * Specialist tools provided * IT equipment provided (phone, tablet etc.)If you're a highly capable HVAC professional seeking a rewarding and varied mobile role, and are confident working independently on secure sites, we want to hear from you.
