Job description

The Dual General Manager is a polished, well-spoken, and well-regarded ambassador who carries a strong vision for the two hotels they support. He or she is responsible for all aspects of operations for their assigned properties, providing support, supervision, and guidance to management teams and front-line associates. The role ensures financial performance is optimized, high-quality product and service levels are maintained, and that the hotels operate in compliance with all relevant regulations, as well as company and brand standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Establish priorities and lead operational initiatives such as sales planning, budget development, and property improvement projects.
  2. Provide hands-on leadership to maximize revenue and control expenses.
  3. Serve as the primary communication link with guests, clients, associates, ownership, corporate and brand representatives, and key vendors.
  4. Manage a team of at least 2 full-time associates, with duties involving administrative, executive, or professional tasks, exercising discretion and independent judgment.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum 6 years of progressive hotel or related industry experience, or a combination of education and experience as specified.
  • Proficiency in Windows OS, approved spreadsheets, and word processing.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure, handle problems proactively, and interpret financial data.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Approach guest and employee interactions with attentiveness, friendliness, and courtesy.
  • Maintain professional appearance and adhere to dress code standards.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and certification requirements.
  • Participate in sales efforts, including client meetings, hosting events, and calling on top accounts.
  • Oversee financial performance, department management, staff training, and guest satisfaction initiatives.
  • Conduct regular property inspections and ensure maintenance and cleanliness standards.
  • Manage employee performance, coaching, counseling, and disciplinary actions fairly and consistently.
  • Engage actively in community and guest relations to promote the hotel’s reputation and profitability.
