Job summary

FLANDERS is a world leader in renewing machines for heavy industry. The Longview, TX team is adding an AC/DC Motor Technician II to the team.

You will disassemble, inspect, clean, repair, test, and reassemble basic to moderately complex AC and DC electromechanical motors and equipment, adhering to ISO standards and documenting all steps. Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent and at least three years of mechanical experience with AC/DC motors, plus ability to read wiring

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Three years of mechanical experience with AC and/or DC motors.
• Ability to read wiring diagrams.
• Basic math skills including fractions and percentages.
• Ability to read, write, and comprehend simple instructions.
• Ability to understand, perform, and retain training, procedures and safety rules.
• Ability to operate overhead cranes, forklifts, and other equipment.
• Ability to use various hand tools.
• Occasionally, ability to work in confined spaces.

Responsibilities

• Disassemble, inspect, clean, repair, test, and reassemble basic to moderately complex AC/DC motors and equipment.
• Read work scopes, determine job status, and document results.
• Assemble moderately complex motors and equipment, including bearings and related components.
• Pre-test electrical and mechanical systems and ensure proper lubrication per standards.
• Perform tests and document results; troubleshoot problems as needed.
• Maintain safety and ISO-compliant procedures and paperwork.
