Job summary

Responsibilities include operating cranes or forklifts as needed, assisting with equipment maintenance, and supporting general labor tasks to keep production flowing in the plant.

Qualifications

• Must pass Pulmonary Function Test.
• Capable of lifting 50 lbs. up to waist.
• Requires 6 months minimum of job-related work experience.

Responsibilities

• Setup and operate abrasive blast equipment to remove scale, rust and foreign matter from components and vessels.
• Ensure parts are secured and positioned properly before blasting.
• Report equipment malfunctions to Foreman and follow safety procedures.
• Perform occasional blasting in confined spaces and assist with maintenance of blasting equipment.
• Operate material handling equipment (jib cranes, forklifts, tow motors) for moving components within the plant.
• Support general labor tasks such as grinding, loading/unloading trucks and railcars, and keeping work area clean.
