Above Restaurant Leader (ARL)

The Above Restaurant Leader (ARL) provides overall leadership and accountability for approximately 10 corporate-owned Long John Silver's restaurants. The ARL works closely with the Director of Operations to develop regional strategies that enable each Restaurant General Manager (RGM) to exceed the annual operating plan for their area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify key business issues within individual restaurants affecting performance; influence decisions, align resources, take immediate action, and hold others accountable.
  • Drive outstanding reliability, product quality, and financial performance to ensure consistent same-store sales and transaction growth, with targets such as $1.5MM AUVs and 15% restaurant margins.
  • Support, coach, and direct RGMs and crew members daily, focusing on:
    • Establishing and reviewing store-specific performance targets, especially in guest satisfaction.
    • Improving sales and customer satisfaction.
    • Maintaining food safety, product, and facility standards.
    • Allocating budgets to meet priority needs.
    • Reinforcing new products and initiatives.
    • Training, developing, and motivating staff.
    • Ensuring compliance with brand promotions.
    • Visiting restaurants frequently.
  • Perform hands-on operational work as needed to train new RGMs and crew.
Minimum Requirements
  • 5-7 years' experience as an Area Supervisor in QSR.
  • Strong relationship management skills and the ability to influence and build trust.
  • Strategic approach to operational reliability and financial performance.
  • Understanding of restaurant operations.
  • Proven ability to drive results through influence and coaching around success routines and brand standards.
Physical Demands and Working Conditions

This role requires standing, walking, communication, tasting, smelling, handling, reaching, and occasional lifting up to 50 pounds. Visual acuity for peripheral vision and focus adjustment is necessary. Exposure to cooking fumes and moderate noise levels are typical.
