Calista Corporation seeks an experienced Able Seaman to support deck operations, navigation lookout and routine maintenance aboard the vessel. Candidates must hold Merchant Mariner Credential and AB Deck Rating, and be able to obtain a Top Secret clearance.
The role requires physical fitness and readiness for varied weather conditions. Responsibilities include deck tasks, line handling, cargo protection, and active participation in safety drills while ensuring compliance with life-saving
Able Seamen, also known as Able Bodied Seamen, perform a variety of tasks related to the operation and maintenance of a ship, under the direction of the ship's captain or other officers. Able Seamen are primarily responsible for supporting the ship's operations and maintenance, with daily duties and responsibilities. Able Seaman stand as a lookout for the navigational watch and complete engineering rounds while underway.
This position normally has no direct supervisory responsibilities.
