Job summary

Goodwill of Greater Washington is seeking a dedicated cleaning technician to support a Federal Agency location. You will maintain cleanliness and cleanliness standards, operating equipment like scrubbers and buffers to keep floors and spaces in top condition.

Roles require physical stamina and strict attention to safety and procedures. Responsibilities include dusting, floor care, trash handling, and reporting maintenance needs.

Qualifications

• Skilled in cleaning methods and equipment such as scrubber and extractor.
• Ability to obtain security clearance to work at assigned site.

Responsibilities

• Maintains cleanliness in assigned areas of the facility.
• Performs cleaning duties such as dusting surfaces, dry mopping floors, vacuuming, emptying trash, spot cleaning walls/windows, and using a high-speed buffer to burnish floors.
• Cleans and maintains assigned equipment.

Job description

Provides preventive cleaning services for Federal Agency in accordance with departmental policies and procedures. This position is responsible and will be held accountable for behaving in accordance with divisional and organizational RISE values and expectations. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintains cleanliness in assigned areas of the facility.
• Performs cleaning duties such as dusting lights, furniture, and other horizontal surfaces, dry mopping hard floor surfaces, vacuuming carpets, emptying and cleaning trash containers and ashtrays, spot cleaning walls and windows, and using the high-speed buffer to burnish hard floor surfaces.
• Cleans and maintains assigned equipment.
• This position requires frequent lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling of up to 40 pounds. Prolonged walking and standing are required as well as frequent bending, reaching and stooping.

Other Duties and Responsibilities

Notifies supervisor of equipment and facilities needing repair or replacement.

Required Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications
