Living Classrooms Foundation Inc is seeking an Academic Coordinator (ABE/GED instructor) to provide individualized instruction and GED test preparation. A bachelor’s degree is required, and teaching certifications are a plus.

The Academic Coordinator will oversee classroom instruction in math, science, English, and social studies, manage GED testing, and maintain accurate records while collaborating with the Program Director to support at-risk youth and diverse communities.

Responsabilidades

• Facilitate and maintain a classroom environment conducive to learning.
• Direct classroom and alternate site instruction in math, science, English, and social studies.
• Complete academic pre- and post-tests and keep accurate records of scores.
• Register students for the Maryland State GED exam.
• Provide small group and one-on-one instruction.
• Order and track GED supplies for education.
• Participate in meetings and training sessions.
• Be familiar with and utilize Living Classrooms facilities and resources.
• Implement program policies on evaluation, incentives, and progressive discipline.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Program Director.
