Job summary

The University of Virginia Department of Radiology and Medical Imaging invites applications for five tenure-ineligible Clinical Instructor/Fellow positions in Abdominal Imaging, starting July 1, 2028. This one-year fellowship emphasizes image-guided procedures (ultrasound, CT) and abdominopelvic MRI, in a quaternary referral setting with strong research opportunities.

Fellows will gain experience in solid organ and lung biopsy, abscess drainage, thoracentesis and paracentesis, and fluoroscopic

Qualifications

• MD or equivalent medical degree required.
• Completion of radiology residency accredited by ACGME or RCPSC and eligibility for certification.
• Virginia medical license or eligibility to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Provide fellowship-level abdominal imaging training with emphasis on image-guided procedures.
• Engage in clinical service, teaching, and potential research within the Body Imaging division.
