University of Virginia’s Department of Radiology and Medical Imaging, Body Imaging Division, seeks five Clinical Instructor/Fellow candidates for a one-year Abdominal Imaging fellowship starting July 1, 2028. The program emphasizes image-guided procedures (ultrasound, CT) and abdominopelvic MRI at a quaternary referral center.

Qualifications

• MD or equivalent required.
• Residency in diagnostic radiology at an ACGME or RCPSC-accredited program; eligible to sit for ABR Certifying Exam.
• ABR Core Exam completed or eligible for Certifying Exam; license to practice medicine in Virginia required.

Responsibilities

• Learn to perform a variety of image-guided procedures (biopsies, drainages, thoracenteses, paracenteses, thyroid nodules).
• Provide final reads for the ED; overnight reads with fellows’ support; back-up by subspecialty attendings as needed.
