Job summary

Precious Care ABA is hiring entry-level Behavior Technicians to support children with autism in their homes in Irvington, NJ. No formal ABA experience required; paid training and mentorship provided by experienced BCBA staff.

You will work one-on-one with children, collect data, track progress, and share updates with families to help generalize skills into daily life. Flexible schedules and travel to client homes are available, with opportunities to become an RBT.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with an ABA-related course recommended.
• RBT training or similar ABA-related course is advantageous.
• Experience with kids is a plus but not required; training provided.

You’ll work one‑on‑one with children with autism in their homes , turning everyday moments into opportunities for learning and progress. No sitting behind a screen all day — this is a hands‑on role where every session is different.

What We’re Looking For

People who are reliable, patient, energetic, and enjoy working with children.

Experience working with kids is a plus, including babysitting, childcare, teaching assistant roles, camp counseling, coaching, or caregiving.

Ability to travel to client homes (valid driver's license and reliable transportation).

Requirements

• High school diploma and one ABA-related course (ex. RBT training) (recommended)
• Experience in education or autism-related field (recommended)
• Ability to work hands‑on with children
• Knowledgeable about basic ABA terms (training will be provided)
• Knowledgeable about data collection software (training will be provided)
• Works collaboratively with coworkers and clients’ families
• Follows supervisor directions and treatment plan, and asks questions when needed
• Patient and compassionate, especially while working with clients exhibiting challenging behaviors
