Job summary

Everforth Apex is seeking an ABA Testing Analyst to plan, scope, execute, and report on testing of IT and Information Security controls in a hybrid environment at Merrifield, VA. The role involves coordinating with business partners and stakeholders within an Agile setting.

The selected candidate will document work, present results to leadership, and support the program across all phases of assessments, ensuring compliance with IIA standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in business, information systems, or a related field, or equivalent work or military experience.
• Experience in control testing, including experience in some of the three lines of defense (Audit, ERM, First Line areas).
• Experience in audit and information security risk assessments is also required.
• Experience working with all levels of staff, management, stakeholders, and third parties is necessary.

Role Overview

We are seeking an Analyst for an Asset Based Testing role. The selected candidate will help plan, scope, execute, and report on the testing of IT and Information Security controls. This position involves responsibility for all phases of the assessment, including communications with business partners and other stakeholders, within an Agile environment.

Skills

• Knowledge of applicable federal and state laws, rules, and regulations such as FFIEC, NIST, and ISO.
• Knowledge of NCUA, FFIEC, GLBA, NIST (including the Cyber Security Framework and 800 Series), ISO 27001/27002, SANS/CIS 20, PCI DSS, and other Information Security frameworks.
• Effective planning, organizational, research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, including technical writing.
• Ability to build effective relationships through rapport, trust, diplomacy, and tact.
• Strong word processing and spreadsheet software skills.
• Ability to present findings and conclusions clearly and concisely.
• Must remain cognizant of and adhere to policies, procedures, and regulations pertaining to the Bank Secrecy Act.

Preferred Qualifications

• CISSP, CISA, CCSP, CRISC or other Information Security certifications.
