Job summary

LEARN Academy seeks a Substitute Behavior Tech to support students with special needs using applied behavior analysis (ABA). You will help develop academic, daily living, social, and language skills through play-based therapy and structured activities.

The role requires 1–2 years of experience in a similar setting, with a high school diploma or equivalent, and a willingness to learn about different disability categories.

• Willingness to learn about various disability categories and ABA.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct instructional support using ABA therapy.
• Support daily living activities (toileting, eating, etc.).
• Foster social-emotional and social-skill development.
• Collect data on student progress as directed by the team.
• Reinforce academic behaviors taught by staff.
• Assist students in community, school, and leisure activities.
• Learn and apply district-approved verbal de-escalation and safety techniques.
