Job summary

East Haven Public Schools seeks an ABA Paraprofessional/ParaEducator to supervise and support students under certified staff in the school setting. You will help provide a safe, structured educational environment and assist in implementing instructional and behavioral plans.

This 10-month, 32.5-hour-per-week position includes classroom support, data collection on student progress, and collaboration with teachers, therapists, and coaches.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or 60 college credits or ParaPro passing score required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Experience supporting students in school settings is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support students with guidance from certified staff.
• Assist teachers and specialists in implementing instruction.
• Monitor students during lunch, recess, and field trips.
• Support adaptive equipment and mobility assistance.
• Perform clerical and instructional tasks as assigned.
• Maintain records of student achievement and tests as directed.
