Job summary

Children’s Specialized ABA is seeking a detail-oriented Credentialing Specialist to support credentialing and re-credentialing for ABA professionals across our organization. You will manage credentialing docs, verify BCBA and licensed professionals’ credentials, and communicate with providers and payers to ensure timely processing.

The role requires handling multiple priorities, staying current with Medicaid and payer requirements, and maintaining accurate records in our EHR system.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
• 2+ years of experience in authorizations, medical insurance, billing, claims processing, credentialing, or related healthcare admin function.
• Experience with insurance payers and/or healthcare provider documentation preferred.
• ABA or Behavioral Health experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to multitask and track multiple providers, applications, deadlines, and outstanding items simultaneously.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Sheets, and Google Docs.
• Ability to learn and navigate EHR systems, insurance portals, and other credentialing platforms.

Responsibilities

• Manage credentialing and re-credentialing for ABA professionals, ensuring regulatory and payer compliance.
• Verify and maintain credentials for BCBA, licensed ABA professionals, and related practitioners.
• Communicate with providers and payers to obtain information and resolve items.
• Review and process initial credentialing and re-credentialing applications.
• Maintain credentialing records with accurate, current data.
• Keep approval dates, expiration dates, and credentialing info in the EHR system.
• Follow up with providers about missing documents and upcoming expirations.
• Respond to credentialing inquiries with timely status updates.
• Assist providers with credentialing profiles and payer portals.
• Stay current on Medicaid guidelines, payer requirements, and regulatory changes.
