Job summary

Butterfly Effects is seeking Child Interventionists/Behavior Technicians (RBT or entry-level) to support children with autism in a field-based role in Holyoke, MA. You will implement ABA-based plans, help develop communication and self-care skills, and collaborate with families to drive meaningful progress.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
  • RBT certification if already obtained.
  • Passion for working with children and families.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a positive attitude.
  • Prior experience with children is advantageous.
  • Must have a tablet or laptop for sessions.

Responsibilities

  • Implement individualized treatment plans under BCBA direction.
  • Observe and report client progress daily and track behavior.
  • Help manage challenging behaviors.
  • Apply behavioral principles consistently in interactions.
  • Assist clients to acquire academic and life skills.
  • Communicate professionally with parents and team.
  • Be an active treatment team member and document data daily.
  • Participate in ongoing training and maintain confidentiality.
  • Follow Butterfly Effects policies and procedures.

Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)

Field Based / 3:00pm-7:00pm

We are seeking dedicated Child Interventionists/Behavior Technicians, both entry-level and experienced, to directly assist children with autism in honing vital skills like communication, social interaction, and self-care. What Would You Be Doing?
  • Implements individualized treatment plans under the direction of a Board-Certified Behavioral Analyst (BCBA) .
  • Observes, records, and reports on client's progress, as well as the condition and behavior of the client daily .
  • Manages challenging behaviors .
  • Apply behavioral principles consistently in all interactions with clients .
  • Assists clients, as needed, to acquire academic and/or appropriate life skills .
  • Communicates in a professional and respectful manner with parents, behavior analysts/consultants, trainers, and clients .
  • Functions as an active member of the treatment team .
  • Completes daily paperwork and data collection notes in a detailed, accurate , consistent, and timely manner through our online database .
  • Actively participates in continuous training programs designed to increase overall skills .
  • Maintains confidentiality of client information .
  • Follows BE policies and procedures .

Physical Requirements:

This role involves working in natural environments, occasionally requiring lifting or moving up to 50 lbs. and maintaining various postures for extended periods.
