Job summary

Butterfly Effects is seeking dedicated Registered Behavior Technicians to support children with autism at the Feeding Hills Center, with hours Monday through Friday 3:00pm–7:00pm. You will contribute to ABA-based intervention plans alongside a BCBA and families to foster communication and life skills.

The role offers part-time hours with opportunities for educational and training support, and growth towards BCBA certification in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Certification: Registered Behavior Technician Certification if already obtained.
  • Passion for Children.
  • Positive Attitude.
  • Experience with children is advantageous.
  • Transportation: Must have reliable transportation.
  • Background: Pass a criminal background check.

Responsibilities

  • Implements individualized treatment plans under the direction of a BCBA.
  • Observes, records, and reports on client's progress daily.
  • Manages challenging behaviors.
  • Applies behavioral principles consistently in all interactions with clients.
  • Assists clients to acquire academic and/or life skills.
  • Communicates professionally with parents, behavior analysts/consultants, trainers, and clients.
  • Functions as an active member of the treatment team.
  • Completes daily paperwork and data collection notes in our online database.
  • Actively participates in continuous training programs.
  • Maintains confidentiality of client information.
  • Follows BE policies and procedures.

What Would You Be Doing?
  • Implements individualized treatment plans under the direction of a Board-Certified Behavioral Analyst (BCBA).
  • Observes, records, and reports on client's progress, as well as the condition and behavior of the client daily.
  • Manages challenging behaviors.
  • Applies behavioral principles consistently in all interactions with clients.
  • Assists clients, as needed, to acquire academic and/or appropriate life skills.
  • Communicates in a professional and respectful manner with parents, behavior analysts/consultants, trainers, and clients.
  • Functions as an active member of the treatment team.
  • Completes daily paperwork and data collection notes in a detailed, accurate , consistent, and timely manner through our online database.
  • Actively participates in continuous training programs designed to increase overall skills.
  • Maintains confidentiality of client information.
  • Follows BE policies and procedures.

Physical Requirements:

This role involves working in natural environments, occasionally requiring lifting or moving up to 50 lbs. and maintaining various postures for extended periods.
