Job summary

Butterfly Effects, LLC in Virginia, Hampton, seeks dedicated Child Interventionists/ Behavior Technicians, including Registered Behavior Technicians (RBT), to support children with autism through ABA-based strategies.

This part-time role offers 12-20 hours weekly; requires high school diploma, transportation, and a tablet/laptop. You will implement plans, track progress, and help children develop communication, social, and self-care skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Registered Behavior Technician certification if already obtained is a plus.
• Passion for working with children and families.

Hours: Monday - Friday 3pm - 7pm

What Do You Bring to the Role?

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.

What Would You Be Doing?

• Implements individualized treatment plans under the direction of a Board-Certified Behavioral Analyst (BCBA).
• Observes, records, and reports on client's progress, as well as the condition and behavior of the client daily.
• Manages challenging behaviors.
• Apply behavioral principles consistently in all interactions with clients.
• Assists clients, as needed, to acquire academic and/or appropriate life skills.
• Communicates in a professional and respectful manner with parents, behavior analysts/consultants, trainers, and clients.
• Functions as an active member of the treatment team.
• Completes daily paperwork and data collection notes in a detailed, accurate, consistent, and timely manner through our online database.
• Actively participates in continuous training programs designed to increase overall skills.
• Maintains confidentiality of client information.
• Follows Butterfly Effects policies and procedures.

Physical Requirements:

This role involves working in natural environments, occasionally requiring lifting or moving up to 50 lbs. and maintaining various postures for extended periods.
