Job summary

Butterfly Effects is hiring Child Interventionists/Behavior Technicians to work with children with autism in a part-time capacity, 3:00pm–7:00pm, Monday through Friday. Entry-level and experienced candidates are welcome; we provide paid training and after school hours support.

Part-time schedule offers 12–20 hours per week. You will help children improve communication, social interaction, and self-care under BCBA supervision, with opportunities to pursue growth toward RBT or BCBA roles.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Tablet or laptop required to use during sessions.

Responsibilities

• Implements individualized ABA-based plans under BCBA supervision.
• Observes and reports client's progress daily.
• Manages challenging behaviors.
• Assists clients to acquire academic and life skills.
• Communicates professionally with parents, analysts, trainers and clients.
• Completes daily documentation in our online database.
• Maintains client confidentiality and follows BE policies.

Qualifications:

Position Duties:

• Implements individualized treatment plans under the direction of a Board-Certified Behavioral Analyst (BCBA).
• Observes, records, and reports client's progress, as well as the condition and behavior of the client daily.
• Manages challenging behaviors.
• Applies behavioral principles consistently in all interactions with clients.
• Assists clients, as needed, to acquire academic and/or appropriate life skills.
• Communicates in a professional and respectful manner with parents, behavior analysts/consultants, trainers, and clients.
• Functions as an active member of the treatment team.
• Completes daily paperwork and data collection notes in a detailed, accurate, consistent and timely manner through our on-line database.
• Actively participates in continuous training programs designed to increase overall skills.Maintains confidentiality of client information.
• Follows BE policies and procedures.

Physical Requirements:

This role involves working in natural environments, occasionally requiring lifting or moving up to 50 lbs. and maintaining various postures for extended periods.
