Job summary

Butterfly Effects is hiring a part-time Child Interventionist, Behavior Technician or RBT to support children with autism in the 28036 area. The role offers weekday evenings (M-F 4:30-7:30pm) with competitive hourly pay based on experience and credentials.

You will implement ABA plans, track progress, and work closely with families and BCBA supervision. Qualifications include a high school diploma and RBT certification if already obtained; transportation and background checks required.

Qualifications

• Interest in working with children and families affected by autism.

Responsibilities

• Implement individualized treatment plans under BCBA supervision.
• Observe, record and report client progress and behavior daily.
• Manage challenging behaviors with consistent application of behavioral principles.
• Assist clients in acquiring academic and life skills as needed.
• Maintain professional communication with parents and team members.
• Complete daily paperwork and data entries in the online system.

What Do You Bring to the Role?

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certification: Registered Behavior Technician Certification if already obtained.

• Experience: Prior experience with children is advantageous.

What Would You Be Doing?

• Implements individualized treatment plans under the direction of a Board-Certified Behavioral Analyst (BCBA).
• Observes, records, and reports on client's progress, as well as the condition and behavior of the client daily.
• Manages challenging behaviors.
• Applies behavioral principles consistently in all interactions with clients.
• Assists clients, as needed, to acquire academic and/or appropriate life skills.
• Communicates in a professional and respectful manner with parents, behavior analysts/consultants, trainers, and clients.
• Functions as an active member of the treatment team.
• Completes daily paperwork and data collection notes in a detailed, accurate, consistent, and timely manner through our online database.
• Actively participates in continuous training programs designed to increase overall skills.
• Maintains confidentiality of client information.
• Follows BE policies and procedures.

Physical Requirements

This role involves working in natural environments, occasionally requiring lifting or moving up to 50 lbs. and maintaining various postures for extended periods.
