Achieving True Self (ATS) is offering paid training to become a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) and immediate opportunities to support children with developmental needs in the Pittsburgh area, including Pittsburgh, Carnegie, and Homestead neighborhoods. Qualifications

  • A deep commitment to making a positive impact in the lives of children and families
  • Professional experience with children or individuals with disabilities (e.g., nanny, teacher, camp counselor, paraprofessional) OR relevant educational background in psychology, sociology, education, or related fields
  • A high school diploma or equivalent, and at least 18 years old
  • A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

What is an RBT?

As a Behaviour Technician (BT)/Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), you’ll be using Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) techniques to create positive change in the lives of children. In this role, you’ll provide one-on-one support to children with developmental and behavioural challenges in their home or community settings, all while receiving PAID TRAINING TO BECOME AN RBT!

What You’ll Be Doing as a Behavior Technician:
  • Make a difference: Help children thrive by creating an environment where learning is fun, exciting, and personalized to each child’s unique needs.
  • Implement ABA techniques: Use individualized treatment and behavior intervention plans to support children and their families.
  • Collect data and document progress using our Electronic Health Records (EHR) system, and assist with administrative tasks.
  • Collaborate with families: Support parents and caregivers in implementing behavior strategies to foster success at home and in the community.

  • Ability to work evenings and after-school hours (client sessions are typically 2-6 hours long, Monday through Friday)

  • Comfort using technology for documentation and administrative tasks
