As an ABA Behavior Technician with Compass ABA, you will provide one-on-one instruction in homes or community settings across New Jersey, New York, and New Mexico. Your role will involve helping children with autism develop crucial communication, social interaction, play, and daily living skills. Are you passionate about helping children reach their full potential? We’re looking for enthusiastic Behavior Technicians/Registered Behavior Technicians (or adventurers at heart!) to join our team and creatively guide the course of ABA therapy.

• Compensation: $25-35/hr (Based on Experience)
• Job Type: Part-Time (15-20 hours/week depending on client schedules)
• Available Shifts: Daytime/Afternoons/Evenings

Daytime Schedules Available

• Wappinger Falls, NY: Monday-Friday: 11AM- 2PM

Afternoon Schedules Available

• Hyde Park, NY: Monday- Friday: 3:30 - 5:30PM & Weekends 9AM- 5PM
• Port Ewen, NY: Tuesday- Friday: 4- 7PM & Saturday 1- 4PM

Work schedule generally consists of 3-4 hours per day. Specific shifts may vary based on location and client needs.

Your Required Navigation Tools

• High School Diploma or equivalent; a college degree is preferred
• Previous experience working with children or individuals with autism or related developmental disabilities is preferred
• Reliable transportation to client homes or designated locations
• A passion for helping individuals with autism and developmental disabilities
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Comfort with technology - data collection is a key part of ensuring client progress, and we rely on digital tools to track success
• Ability to adapt and navigate challenges with a problem-solving mindset
• A commitment to continuous learning and growth
• Ability to pass a background check

Responsibilities of Your Mission - The Behavior Technician Role

• Implement direct one-on-one Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy sessions for individuals with autism spectrum disorder under the guidance of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
• Utilize strong problem-solving skills to manage challenging behaviors and enhance clients' social and communication skills and independence
• Collaborate effectively with team members and family to implement behavior intervention plans
• Collect and record data on client progress, utilizing information to adjust treatment plans
• Maintain professionalism and a commitment to providing high-quality services
• Ensure a safe and supportive learning environment by adhering to all safety protocols and procedures
