Job summary

Jobtailor seeks a dedicated Behavior Technician to provide 1:1 ABA therapy to children in their homes in North Carolina. You will implement plans created by a BCBA supervisor, teach communication and social skills, and use positive reinforcement to foster progress.

The role requires experience with children, a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and ability to navigate Zoom/Email on a mobile device. Must be able to perform varied physical tasks and afternoon/evening hours.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children (childcare, tutoring, teaching, coaching, etc.)
• High School or Equivalent Education
• Valid Driver's License
• Must have reliable transportation/Car – Bus and Uber are not considered reliable transportation.
• Access to a mobile device and ability to navigate technology platforms such as Zoom and Email
• Physically and actively able to participate in the implementation of all aspects of ABA therapy
• Must be able to assume a variety of postures (kneeling, squatting, crouching, sitting, standing) in the course of working with children with developmental disabilities and severe behavior problems.
• Must have visual acuity to determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned.
• Must be able to receive detailed information through oral communication.
• Behavior Technicians are required to be available 4–5 weekdays between 3:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m., working 4–5 hours per day within that window.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 ABA therapy to children in their homes.
• Implement individualized behavior plans created by your BCBA supervisor.
• Teach communication, social, and daily living skills.
• Use positive reinforcement strategies to encourage progress.
• Collect session data and write progress notes.
• Collaborate with your BCBA and caregivers to support client development.
• Engage in play-based learning activities that build trust and skills.
