Job summary

O.L.V. Human Services is looking for a passionate Behavior Technician to empower children and support families in the New York, NY area. This role involves modeling behavior support plans under the supervision of a Licensed Behavior Analyst and providing the necessary training to caregivers.

The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience working with children and families, a solid understanding of Applied Behavior Analysis, and excellent communication skills. Join us and make a difference in the lives of children!

Qualifications

• Demonstrate knowledge of basic principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).
• Natural ability to connect with children and parents.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide a positive and nurturing environment for children and their families.
• Assist LBA with the development of FBAs.
• Assist LBA with the creation of BSPs.
• Teach specific skills required for skill acquisition and/or behavior reduction as outlined in the child’s BSP.
• Participate in consultation and meeting sessions.
• Answer questions from children and their families.
• Observe child behaviors to collect data.
• Inform parents and other caregivers about behavioral intervention findings.

Education

High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
