Job summary

Through advocacy and education, we break barriers and create opportunities for the one-in-four Americans with disabilities.Starting salary $82,000 annually.OVERVIEW OF POSITION: Under general direction, conducts Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) Assessments using applicable tools and produces reports based on accurate data and assessment information to determine program eligibility.ESSENTIAL FUNCTION:Schedules and conducts multiple assessment appointments with families both in home and in the community. Utilizes evidence-based ABA assessment techniques. Evaluates participants referred by the funding source for services along the parameters of an Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) diagnosisReviews treatment overview, processes, and expectations with the family. Keeps the assessment team updated regarding delays and scheduling issues. Prepares and submits final ABA assessment report using approved case specific templatesEnsures reports are submitted on time each month. Tracks and submits mileage through existing scheduling system. Documents appointments and administrative time in NPA as directed by the assessment team. Protects participant confidentiality by purging files consistent with HIPAA guidelinesStays abreast of ABA assessment and evaluation techniques and tools via ongoing trainingPerforms other duties as assignedEDUCATION:Master’s degree from an accredited college or university with a concentration in psychology/early childhood education/related field.Must possess and maintain a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification.Must possess and maintain current CPR certification.EXPERIENCE:Typically requires 3-5 years’ experience working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) in a multi-disciplinary team setting or the equivalent years of training and experience to gain the requisite knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the essential responsibilities of the position.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:Expertise in approaches to intervention and assessment based on the science of Applied Behavior Analysis; competent in employing and directing behavior analytic methodologies.Excellent clinical, administrative, and interpersonal skills.Ability to communicate effectively, through oral and written skills, and to work cooperatively with a variety of individuals and groups.Ability to exercise discretion and maintain a high level of confidentiality to handle sensitive and confidential situations and documentation.Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.Ability to pass a post-offer physical examination and a TB test.Ability to provide proof of required vaccinations or positive titer showing immunity.
