JOB DESCRIPTION

POSITION: US House Campaigns Research Associate

LOCATION: Washington, DC with remote work negotiable

AB PAC, a progressive research and communications organization dedicated to holding Republicans accountable for their words and actions, is hiring a ** Research Associate** to join our** U.S. House Campaigns** research team for the 2026 cycle. This position is based in our Washington, DC office with remote work negotiable.

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Working as part of a team to produce comprehensive opposition research products on Republican candidates in competitive House of Representatives races across the country;

  • Collecting information from sources, including legislative votes, news clips, campaign finance reports, financial and legal records, and research databases;

  • Reporting results and findings to senior staff;

  • Performing rapid response research projects in key electoral races;

  • Other duties as needed.

Skills and qualifications required:

  • Passionate about House elections;

  • Organizational skills and ability to meet strict deadlines a must;

  • Strong commitment to teamwork;

  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills;

  • Self-motivation, the ability to work independently;

  • Experience with primary source documents and research databases such as LexisNexis is preferred;

  • Previous political research experience is preferred.
